About the Role

The Technology Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the organization’s technology systems and processes. This role involves assessing the agency’s technology needs, recommending solutions, and ensuring the effective implementation of technology projects. The Technology Analyst works closely with the IT team, program leads, and other stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and improve operational efficiency.

Job Duties:
• Assess the agency’s current technology infrastructure and identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
• Analyze the technology needs of various departments and recommend appropriate solutions to meet those needs.
• Work with the IT team to plan, design, and implement technology projects, ensuring they align with organizational objectives.
• Evaluate and select technology vendors, products, and services that best support the agency’s mission and goals.
• Monitor and troubleshoot technology systems to ensure they function effectively and efficiently, addressing any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with program leads to ensure that technology solutions are integrated seamlessly into service delivery processes.
• Provide training and support to staff on new technology systems and tools to maximize their effectiveness.
• Maintain documentation of technology systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
• Stay up to date with emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
• Report on the status of technology projects and system performance to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; a master’s degree is a plus.

  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Certified Information Systems Analyst (CISA), are advantageous.


Previous Job Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technology analyst or similar role, preferably within a nonprofit, social services, or startup environment.

  • Proven experience in assessing and optimizing technology systems and processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, think critically, and manage multiple technology-related tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience in working with various technology platforms, software, and tools, including but not limited to database management, network systems, and cloud-based solutions.

  • Experience with technology project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation, is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with technology systems integration, data analysis, and reporting.

  • Experience with startup organizations or newer establishments is a plus, especially if it involves implementing innovative technology solutions and systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of developing and recommending technology solutions to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
