About the Role

The Case Management Supervisor oversees the case management team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to youth aging out of foster care. The supervisor provides guidance, support, and supervision to case managers. This role provides one-on-one coaching to equip these young adults with essential life skills, employment readiness, and other competencies necessary for successful transitions. This role ensures youth receive the necessary skills and support to transition successfully into adulthood.

Job Duties:
• Supervise and support case managers in their roles.
• Ensure adherence to case management standards and protocols.
• Provide training and development opportunities for case managers.
• Monitor case manager performance and provide feedback.
• Review and approve case plans and documentation.
• Facilitate team meetings and case conferences.
• Address complex cases and provide expertise and guidance.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and departments from other organizations to establish resource connections for case managers and/or life skills training facilitators including for continuous community collaboration.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent is strongly preferred.

  • Additional certifications such as case management or leadership, are advantageous.


Previous Job Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in case management, preferably within the child welfare, social services, or foster care system.

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a case management setting, with proven ability to lead and develop a team.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex cases, including coordinating with multiple stakeholders and addressing challenging situations.

  • Experience working with at-risk, disadvantaged, or troubled youth, including those aging out of foster care, is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to be proactive, think critically, and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with startup organizations or newer establishments is a plus, particularly where innovative ideas for managing case management systems and processes were implemented.

  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to child welfare, foster care, and social services.

  • Strong background in developing and implementing case management plans, including assessments, goal setting, and ongoing evaluation.
